I suppose I have a Textphone Spotting hobby
The browser's ability to translate really helps me!
Some Textphones - :-
Ultratec supply many models of textphones. You seem to need to set the code.
There are many confusing codes used , this is my best guess.
| CODE | ITU modem | ITU V.18 Annex |
| BAUDOT | BAUDOT @ 45.45 baud | Annex A |
| INTERNATIONAL | BAUDOT @ 50 baud | Annex A |
| CCITT | ITU V.21 | Annex F |
| ASCI | BELL103 | Annex D ? |
| EDT | ITU V.21 @ 110 baud | Annex C |
Here are some images of text phones.
This only has a phone lead to plug into the PSTN, and you can plug a phone in the back for VCO.
The TextLink? 9100 Mobile is a version you can plug the audio into a Mobile phone using 2.5mm / 3.5mm cable.
This version does not have a phone line, you have to use the Acoustic coupler.
This version does not have a phone line, you have to use the Acoustic coupler. From 1994 ROM: "cp uk 030394"
These use V.21 7 bit ascii. They support typing using an optional PC keyboard that has the PS/2 din connector.
They dropped characters if the MSB was set.
Ultratec supply many models of textphones.

I did a search for European Deaf Telephone (EDT) and came up with some interesting links.
A spanish web page:-
A Norweigian web page:-

The Ultratec Supercom only has the the acoustic coupler.
I can use WebAudio to generate the modem tones.
https://www.dougrice.co.uk/webaudio/mic.htm can do BAUDOT using cheap ear buds from Poundland.
You need to mechanically mount the earbuds in a usable cradle.
See images on: https://www.dougrice.co.uk/webaudio/mic.htm
This image shows the webpage ready to use with the Phone. The earbud and microphone are mounted in the foam spounges. You dial the call on the phone and then place the handset on the washing up sponges.
I asked Gemini to draw me an acoustic coupler and it came up with some Stunning images, but technically missed the point.
This is one is a favorite
I asked the Gemini AI tool to draw me my idea of using Washing up pads to make an acoustic coupler, and got these amusing versions:-
You could test typing using a robot:
